The Missouri House could vote to send HB 451, the repeal of the safety inspection, this week to the State Senate. This issue keeps coming back every year. Hometown contacts from you and your coworkers can change lawmakers’ minds.

The Fiscal Cost to the state to repeal the inspection is over $3 million from the loss of the $1.50 that the state receives. This funds school bus safety inspections.
Many lawmakers from both parties believe that the safety inspection works and that the 19% of vehicles that fail will never be fixed without an inspection.
Unfortunately, two Senators from the St Charles County region have also filed repeal bills, SB 359 & SB 381, which mirrors HB 451.
Now more than ever, state lawmakers need to hear from you! It also helps to invite lawmakers to your shop to see for themselves why the safety inspection protects our families and friends.
